Tasks and activities have been designed to help students achieve the following learning outcomes:
Know the number of hours in a day and weeks in a year.
Be able to name and sequence hours and days.
Read and record time in common date formats.
Read time displayed on analogue clocks in hours, half hours and quarter hours
Understand hours on a 24-hour digital clock
PowerPoint Lesson
This resource contains an editable, 150-slide PowerPoint lesson. Many opportunities are provided within the PowerPoint for pupils to practice reading the time using both analogue and digital clocks. There are also a number of slides where pupils are required to apply their knowledge of time to solve word problems. It is an ideal resource to introduce this component of the maths functional skills specification and for revision purposes.
Workbook
The 70-page workbook that includes 18 information/explanation sheets, 47 worksheets, two progress checks and a certificate of achievement on time.
