AQA Entry Level 3 Maths: Estimation / Estimating

This resource has been designed for students working towards the AQA Entry Level Certificate in Maths who are working at Entry Level 3. It contains an age-appropriate, 15 page workbook (15 worksheets) with progress check and answers for estimation and estimating (Component 1: Properties of Number and Component 2: The Four Operations 2.2).

Tasks and activities have been designed to achieve the following outcomes:

3.4 Round numbers less than 1,000 to the nearest 10 (properties of number).
3.5 Round numbers less than 1,000 to the nearest 100 (properties of number).
3.6 Estimate the answer to a calculation (the four operations).
