This resource has been designed for students working towards Entry Level 2 Functional Skills English certification. It contains an age-appropriate, 110-slide PowerPoint lesson on the Entry Level 2 writing component – form regular plurals (those ending in ‘-s’ and ‘-es’ ).
The PowerPoint clearly explains the rules for forming plurals and includes:
regular nouns – adding ‘s’
nouns ending in ‘ch’ , ‘sh’, ‘x’ and ‘s’
nouns ending in ‘o’
nouns ending in ‘z’
Opportunities are provided within the PowerPoint for pupils to form plurals and there is a timed plural challenge activity. The PowerPoint also contains several links to short videos on making plurals.
