This resource has been designed for students working towards Functional Skills Maths qualifications at Entry Level 2. It contains an age-appropriate, editable, 50-slide Powerpoint lesson on addition (outcome 5 – add two-digit numbers).
The PowerPoint clearly and visually explains how to add together two-digit numbers with and without exchange. It provides many opportunities for pupils to practise the skill. The PowerPoint also contains a number of ‘real life’ word problems where pupils are required to use addition to solve them.
The PowerPoint also includes two links to short videos (less than two minutes) explaining column addition with and without exchange.
