Using Numbers and the Number System – Functional Skills Maths – Entry Level 2

This resource has been designed for students working towards Functional Skills Maths qualifications at Entry Level 2. It contains an age-appropriate, editable, 150-slide PowerPoint lesson on using numbers and the number system (outcomes 1, 2, 3, 4).

The PowerPoint will help pupils to achieve the following outcomes:

Count reliably up to 100 items
Read, write, order and compare numbers up to 200
Recognise and sequence odd and even numbers up to 100

The PowerPoint clearly explains the number system, place value, and odd and even numbers. It also asks pupils to order and compare numbers using concrete, pictorial and abstract examples. Numerous opportunities are provided within the PowerPoint for pupils to develop and practice the skills required for Entry Level 2 using numbers and the number system outcomes.
