This resource has been designed for students working towards the AQA Entry Level Certificate in Maths. It contains three age-appropriate workbooks with revision notes, progress checks, certificate of achievements and answers on Component 4 – Money.<\/p>\n

Entry 1 Workbook<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is a 35 page workbook. Tasks and activities include:<\/p>\n

Recognising coins and notes up to \u00a320
\nExchanging money up to 20p for an equivalent amount in other denominations
\nAdding up to 20p in 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, 20p coins
\nAdding up to 20p in \u00a31 and \u00a32 coins
\nApplying knowledge of coins to solve word and number problems<\/p>\n

Entry 2 Workbook<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is a 32 page workbook containing tasks and activities to enable students to achieve the following outcomes:<\/p>\n

2.1 Appreciate the purchasing power of amounts of money (coins)
\n2.2 Convert from pence to pounds and vice versa
\n2.3 Make amounts of money up to \u00a32 from given coins
\n2.4 Make amounts of money in multiples of \u00a35 from \u00a35, \u00a310 and \u00a320 notes
\n2.5 Calculate with amounts of money in pence up to \u00a31 and whole pounds up to \u00a3100 and give change<\/p>\n

Entry 3 Workbook<\/strong><\/p>\n

This 32 page workbook contains tasks and activities to enable students to achieve the following outcomes:<\/p>\n

3.1 Appreciate the purchasing power of amounts of money (notes)
\n3.2 Exchange notes for an equivalent value in coins
\n3.3 Use decimal notation for money
\n3.4 Interpret a calculator display
\n3.5 Solve real life problems involving what to buy and how to pay
\n3.6 Add amounts of money and give change
\n3.7 Carry out investigations involving money<\/p>\n
